Just in time for the TUBE in Düsseldorf (April 16 – 20, 2018), we are presenting our new warehouse material 254SMO. It belongs to the group of superaustenites and is a high-alloyed austenitic stainless steel, which was developed for use in seawater and other aggressive media containing chlorine. An increased molybdenum content and the addition of nitrogen ensure excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion (PREN = ≥.0).
The special material 254SMO has a higher strength than conventional austenitic stainless steels, and it is easy to weld. Its high resistance to general corrosion, acidic solutions and stress corrosion makes it perfect for use in the chemical, petrochemical, pulp and paper industries as well as in the marine, seawater, flue gas and shipbuilding/offshore sectors.
We look forward to presenting our new warehouse material 254SMO to the public for the first time at the TUBE in Düsseldorf at our booth no. 24a in hall 3. Be part of it!
